This module delves into the extensive benefits of implementing developmental trauma-informed care within neonatal units. Learners will explore the impact on infants, parents, healthcare professionals, and the healthcare system. The scientific foundation and evidence-based practices supporting these benefits will be reviewed, including insights from significant studies and reviews. Participants will understand how developmental care improves neurodevelopmental outcomes, reduces medical complications, and enhances parent-infant bonding, contributing to better overall health and economic efficiency in neonatal care.
