Mission

Mission

Our mission is to transform Canadian neonatal intensive care units into compassionate, relationship and trauma-informed based environments for the well-being of premature infants, their families and the health care professionals that care for them on a daily basis.

We help health care professionals and institutions to improve the quality of care of premature and sick term infants with evidence-based practices founded in developmental neuro-protective trauma-informed care philosophy.

We helpd them achieve this through our consultation, training, coaching and implementation support.

Core ideology

Premature infants are little persons who deserve to feel safe, secure, loved and nourished so they can flourish to become amazing loving and compassionate adults.

  • The NICU is a stressful environment that can create toxic stress and trauma, both for the premature infant and their parents.
  • Health care professionals working in the NICU and with premature infants CAN make a difference by caring for them in a compassionate, authentic, relationship-based and trauma-informed way.
  • Developmental neuro-protective trauma-informed care is the solution.
  • Our company teaches, trains, coaches and accompanies health care professionals to implement evidenced-based DNTIC in their clinical practices.
  • Our company teaches, trains, coaches and accompanies health care institutions to implement evidence-based DNTIC guidelines in their protocols, policies and mission statements.
